I can't remember what kind they were-just that they were really cute and sweet. When I was little (I'm 46) you could buy salamanders, little turtles, even little alligators in 5 an 10 stores.

I had all kinds of animals for pets. I even caught little "horney toad" lizards in my backyard and keep them a while before letting them go so they wouldn't be harmed and had a tarantula I found for a pet until my Mother made me take it out in the country and let it go.
