If there weren't a such thing as term limits, he'd still be our President... |
|
...for better or worse. People love him.

I believe in term limits in theory.
But I think FDR's 3rd and 4th terms helped us win World War II. I don't know if another President could have done this.
And if Clinton had had a 3rd term think of all the lives that would have been saved in the Iraq War.

3. Yet another thing that can be blamed on the Republicans. |
|
They didn't want another FDR -- then they got really cranky when they couldn't re-re-elect the senile Ronald Reagan for a third term.

Republicans pushed for the amendment. They realized their chance at 3 or 4 terms was much less than ours.
This is the 5th straight cycle Bill Clinton would have won a general election, our best opportunity if eligible. Obama can put an end to that in '12 if he has a successful 4 years.

19. Don't respect a dumb opinion |

Bill Clinton would have cruised in 2000, not the 8.5 point margin of '96 but comfortably by several points.
The debates would have been a farce against Bush. Gore was well ahead in the polls until he sighed away the presidency in debate #1.

And what a different world we would have.
Still- change is good. 8 years of Gore and then another dem would be good too.
