two guys from families that sat around the kitchen table, trying to figure which bills had to be paid, and which ones had to wait.
no inheritances.
no father's legacies.
and each with only one home.

He's in the military, the Guard I think. That's why he said he won't be able to be around for his father this fall--he's supposed to be shipping out this year.
Edited to add: It shows what class the Bidens have, that they didn't mention this.

Everything about Obama's beginning speaks volumes about how he cares for creating real change and positive effects in the poor Chicago neighborhoods Obama decided to serve in out of college. Bush and McCain wouldn't have set foot in an impoverished neighborhood, they go out of their way to avoid them. Yet McCain claims to be working for the people of America. It is a lie and Biden calls it out tonight.
He calls McCains record abysmal. He is right.

There's no problem in asking that. It's more his job anyway. But he did give a good sales pitch for Obama.

My beloved Ananda Ji did not permit streaming at the critical time. I did get to see Big Dawg, though. Seeing the rest of tonight on delay now.
ON EDIT: Bayh speaking now.
