This is in honor of the many decent Republicans, who have come to realize that their party "ain't what it used to be" in so many ways.

Republican former Representative Jim Leach, who _spoke so eloquently_ at our convention, inspired me to try to sing the ways in which the decent Republican Party of Ike Eisenhower and Teddy Roosevelt "ain't what it used to be."

I want to sing it loud and clear for all those loyal but befuddled Republicans (including some members of my own family) who don't yet realize how they've been sold down the river.

Help me out with the lyrics here. Let's make this a colorful catalogue of reTHUG crimes against America, to convince even the most stubborn holdouts.

If it turns out well enough, maybe we can even get it performed in a format good enough for a YouTube viral hit.

To the tune of "The Old Gray Mare"

The old G-O-P ain't what it used to be,
ain't what it used to be, ain't what it used to be.
The old G-O-P ain't what it used to be, many long years ago.

New verses, please?
