1. No tickets, open to public. |
|
I'm just gonna show up, will probably take place on the US Capital mall, possibly the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
There needs to be room for well over a million.

2. I've already secured a hotel room although unfortunately it's in Silver Springs MD |
|
But good enough for me - I'll look for hotels again right after the election. I figured half of them will be dumped when McSame loses.

5. I expect to stay in Fairfax county and take the metro in. |
|
I live in California, this is well worth the trip!
Good luck on the room, I don't think it will be too hard if you're flexible.

15. Yup, take it to work every day. But you will have to get there early to |
|
park. Although the federal government is closed, so that will help some, but I expect it to be very crowded downtown.

I'm very familiar with DC - I use to, um, work for pharma lobbyists :hide: (I was computer supporter).
I don't have the details now but at work I'll PM you the hotel. Thing is, after election day I'll start looking again for a better hotel perhaps downtown to the city.
We're about a quarter of a mile from the Silver Springs Metro, which isn't bad. But we'll keep looking.

6. Good Idea, I should do the same just in case they are needed... |
|
but I doubt it: "Several Presidents have thrown the White House open to the public. Andrew Jackson began the tradition, serving an enormous cake. Bill Clinton revived the open-house tradition in 1993." http://www.answers.com/topic/presidential-inaugurationSee you there! :hi:
