Our Party is much more impressive than theirs these days |
|
Think about the slate of talent we trotted out this year. From Hillary Clinton, to John Kerry, to Barack Obama, to Joe Biden, to Brian Schweitzer to Al Gore, to Bill RIchardson. And on and on. We have a group of articulate, passionate, dynamic spokepersons for our cause.
Who on the Republican side can match our starting lineup, as it were? Time was when the Republicans always seemed to have the better most adept candidates, when they constantly outsmarted us. (At least until the Big Dawg came along.) But I think they've gotten fat and lazy in the last few years. They've lost their touch.
And they have also royally screwed everything they've touched. So this should be and maybe will be our election for the taking. We've got to kick them good and hard while they are down. We got started on that tonight. But there's a long way to go. John McCain is like their last best hope. (I actually really wouldn't be surprised if he kissed off the old Republican Coalition and tried to make a game changing choice like that traitor slimeball Leiberman. But even if he does, we can still kick his butt (though we'll have to tell a different story in the process of doing so.)
But good job democrats! Damned god job!

I think we will end up having a different kind of party to fight off in 2012... I think the old Repugs are done.
