What was the symphonic musical theme after the speech?
After the Brooks and Dunn (sp?) song, while the families were still standing on stage and waving. I'm sure I've heard it before, but I can't place it. A movie theme?

2. Really!
I haven't seen that film yet, though I want to. I wonder if I've heard someone else use it.

It's a beautiful, moving piece of music, very appropriate for tonight. We were watching the Dish Network live feed, without the network graphics or voiceovers, and I swear there were times when the combination of the images and that music felt like time was slowing down almost cinematically.

Thanks for the quick response.

6. I wondered that, too. Not the usual rock and roll. I liked it. It gave us all a moment
to absorb the depth and power of the speech.

8. You need to see that movie...
Especially given the historic nature of Barack's candidacy, that movie is poignant. Its story is just as historic as Barack's and is equally amazing. It's about people coming together across ethnic lines for a higher cause with an inspirational leader (Denzel Washington as Coach Boone!). Really, the parallels between this campaign and that movie/story are pretty similar. Inspirational stuff.

5. The transition between the two songs was a little rough.
But they were both real good.

I was surprised by the choice of Brooks & Dunn, but it totally fit. I have that song on my iPod; I'm listening to it now.
