More beautiful the second time
I watched the speech again . . . . I just couldn't take it all in the first time. Beautiful, amazing. History. Today's not just a beautiful day - but there's going to be more beautiful days.

1. Yea, I watched it again and loved it. Truly an epic speech. I just want to scream with joy
and curse too because I cannot express my feelings of pride/joy/euphoria well enough.

5. This entire convention was perfect.
Did anyone catch Pelosi in the crowd in tears and a look of PURE PRIDE on her face? I was like, damn. This is a truly amazing thing. You couldn't WRITE something like this. My goodness. I am just happy to be alive to experience this. We will take back our country and DO something for its people, people who are desperately hanging on for dear life at this very moment. Finally. A leader who has the spirit of not only American ideals in his heart, but the very People of this country as well.

6. The third time will be tomorrow with my husband
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 02:19 AM by Sugarcoated
I can't wait to get his reaction. He has to hit the hay early . . . but my very non-political 27 year old daughter & politically opinionated 15 year old son actually gathered in the living room to watch and they were very engaged. Biden was the candidate my son liked from the debates - I'm loving Biden, too.

3. I had
my not-so-politically-active roommate watch the replay and she is really excited about Obama. It was a sight to see, after spending years trying to get her interested. :D

7. Imagine all the people tonight who saw him for the first time
I'll be shocked if the polls don't go up considerably.

9. Phenomenal speech but I'm worried about one thing on a second viewing
Obama used the word "I" an amazing number of times. Or some form of that like "I'll..."

It wouldn't shock me if the Republicans counted the number of references and tried to use it.

where they'll really care.
