It's all about the Oil.....it always is with the Republicans.

This election is big oil's last gasp effort to prevent Americans from finally waking up and doing something to end the addiction to oil. The whole campaign will come down to big oil selling the idea that drilling is the only solution to high gas prices.

The Republican response to Obama went straight to this issue. Ordinarily, I would think that the vast numbers of Americans who have become addicted to comfort and convenience would lap up the big oil marketing campaign to self delude themselves into believing they can continue to consume gas without regard for the consequences. But today, we have T. Boone Pickens investing a small fortune in correcting the misconceptions espoused by big oil. We have Al Gore, an international film star and environmental advocate, out there setting the record straight every day.

This could be the time that America actually starts to move in the direction Jimmy Carter tried to set us on years ago. The path to independence from foreign oil. It will be an epic battle, but it is one the good guys can win this time.

Thank you Obama, thank you Clintons (Hillary and Bill), thank you Joe Biden, thank you Al Gore, thank you T. Boone Pickens and thank you to all the other hard working democrats who are going to make this happen.
