McCain picking Palin is saying "please don't attack us!"
McCain has shown himself to be an asshole, so Obama and Biden can get really rough with him without suffering consequences.

Now, McCain is hoping that picking a woman will neutralize our (especially Biden's) ability to rip him to shreds.

palin is a right wing thug without experience

There is no reason not to attack that
