If she can come out in the next 24 hours and strongly define Palin as the lightweight Quayle/Miers that she is, Palin is toast. Otherwise, this everywoman mom could help pick off a few more of the nine million Hillary voters who haven't yet committed to supporting Barack Obama.
I hope Obama asks her, and I hope she agrees.

I think the American people will be mystified by the Palin choice. Hell, I'd never heard of her until, like, Tuesday. Who? Then let them explain why Obama's not qualified to be president, but Palin is. As Kos says, that narrative's dead--and that's pretty much all they had.

Yes, if HRC is indgnant, and wants to take a more prominent role in the campaign, that would be great.

4. I think O and Biden need to handle this themselves. |

6. People like to vote on identity. Palin can make a strong identity argument. |
|
The best way to nullify that is to have someone who already has that identity connection go out and destroy it. Hillary is the best man for that job. After that, she can go back to whatever she wants to do, but I think we need her for one more speech.
