|
Palin is post-ERA feminism female.
Both are standing on the shoulders of giants. It is the nature of things when the next generation comes along.

your following the natural progression of the movement you claim to be a part of.
Everything I have read about Palin is that she is the opposite of a feminist.

17. Like those two, I was born in the 60's so I may be wrong |
|
But wasn't the idea about choice? Women get the opportunity to choose for themselves what is best for their family as opposed to having rigid gender roles thrust upon them?

18. It isn't her life choices that matter to me |
|
it is the political agenda she promotes and what that would do to women.
It is like McCain invoking the name of John Lewis as a trusted adviser when no such relationship exists or is likely to exist in the future.
I'm reminded of Phyllis Shlaffly traveling around the country trashing the feminist movement and how they should all be home taking care of their kids while she herself was not at home taking care of her's.
Live your life as you wish, but don't deny another that right by dictate or legislation and certainly don't be a hypocrite about it!

7. haha...Chris has SO been trying to redeem himself. |
|
I am not sure if it's sincere, or bc he wants to run for office in PA. Yeah, Palin being a "Buchanan gal" is practically all that I need to know about her. Gross.

I appreciate it. Rather than pulling an "arrogant" denial, he's TRYING.
Ya gotta give that to him.
ok, no you don't, but *I* do :)

He'll have a man-crush on Obama next, just like he did on Bush. Good whores know which side of the bread is buttered. Tweety is no different.

12. Chris keeps trying to hold Palin up against the fire but the |
|
rest of his "pundits" won't allow it. Andrea, Chuck and Pat keep taking up for her. It is hilarious because I'm pretty sure Pat said it was a bad pick this morning (after McCain camp denied it and they were speculating it might really be Romney). I think he said she was inexperienced. Wish I had recorded Morning Joe....

16. He covered Palin the first 15 minutes. |
|
Pointed out a few times that she wasn't even interested in Iraq and admitted to being so busy with here job that she doesn't know much about it. He pointed out...this is the person who suppose to step in if something happens to old man McCain.
Since then he has covered the convention in a very positive way.
