Hillary should be a surrogate for Obama against Palin |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 06:40 PM by senseandsensibility
Obviously, it's hard for any male Dem to do so. If McSame is using Palin to get Hillary's voters, it is absolutely neceesary that she point out that Palin disagrees with her on almost every issue. Keep it fact based.
I'm glad Wasserman-Shultz spoke out, and since she is a big Hilllaryite, I hope that signals that we will hear from Hillary herself.
IMHO, if Hillary assumes this role, she will ensure an Obama victory.

2. Yes, she should be but got off to a bad start today... |

Senator Clinton's statement regarding Sarah Palin:
"We should all be proud of Gov. Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," Clinton said in a statement. "While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Gov. Palin will add an important new voice to the debate."
2/3 of DU may hate me for bringing this into the mix, but is it me or is this a mixed message?
"Important new voice"??? WTF?
No, I am not happy hearing this.

4. Her words echoed Obama's statement. Let others smack Palin down. |

7. What the campaign said, better: |
|
A separate statement from Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton offered a harsh critique of Palin's credentials, saying McCain "put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency."

3. No, she shouldn't. Obama is running for POTUS. It's his election. |

6. Surrogates play an important role in any presidential election. |
|
They can get away with things the candidate can't.

5. hc said the right thing |

she totally knocked their polices, which is what obama stands for. not character attacks.
she also belittled their attempt to get press out of it by saying "it's historic" when we know it isn't. gf did it. I think she beat them at their own game and took the air out of any press they could have gotten and wanted from her statement.
