How many times have you been told that Palin has more "executive experience" than Obama or Biden? |
|
I've had four nominally independent sources reveal this "damning" fact to me, as if it's relevant. I love watching Conservatives try to convince themselves the she really is qualified to field the 3:00 AM call. If the Democrats had nominated an equivalent VP candidate, can you imagine the pundits' shrieks of moral outrage that so weak a contender should be allowed so close to the beloved Big Red Button?
Hell, the mayor of my town of 31,000 has more executive experience than McCain, and about as much as Palin.

I mean, how much executive experience do you need to run Alaska? Obama and Biden represent more people in their districts and make decisions on a worldwide scale. To say Palin actually has executive experience that matters to most Americans is laughable, and insulting.

4. That meme is all over my local TV blog here in North Carolina. |
|
A bunch of posters I've suspected before of being paid operatives all posted that at the same time this afternoon. Interesting, huh?

5. Millions of Americans have got to vote and decide if they believe Obama has enough experience |

to be president. Nobody has had the chance to vote if Palin has enough experience to be president. Nobody.

Putting her on the world stage is simply a cruel hoax and an insult to qualified women who could have been picked.

9. What is executive experience? |
|
Does it mean being governor or President? If so, McCain does not have that experience either.

11. That's exactly what it means. Experience in the executive branch of government. |
|
It's a stupid argument to make. If lack of "executive experience" is a bad thing, they can go ahead and tar their own top-of-the-ticket candidate with that brush.

Rove said the exact same thing about Tim Kaine. He was only governor for a few years, and was the major of a very small city.

12. It's accurate. She has Executive experience. Mc Cain and our guys don't. |
|
The argument needs to be re-framed. We dont ever do that, which is why very few Senators in modern times have been POTUS. The public perceives Exec experience as trumping legislative. We need to change the discourse.
