I think Rush Limbaugh just punked John McCain
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:17 PM by Quixote1818
Rush's operation chaos seems to have gotten so many Republican women involved in pretending to be PUMA's that even Republicans bought into what was going on. So now John McCain just threw a Hail Mary pass hoping the PUMA's would catch it and take it into the end-zone. Problem is they are actually behind the line of scrimmage and the ball is going to go straight up and come right back down and land on their side of the field and get fumbled.

Game over John McCain and thank you Rush Limbaugh for fooling John McCain and his idiot staff.

2. Whatever gets you through the night
I think the Palin decision was made on polling numbers as it relates to demographics and the states in play to get the electoral votes required.

But I state the obvious.

13. They know she's a woman and that her state has a lower unemployment rate than Michigan
who has a democratic Governor in Jennifer Granholm.

They are reaching for woman voters who are disaffected with the party and independents.

In states like MI, PA, OH.

These people don't fart until they they've polled to see what smell the people want as a result.

Trust me.

be 50 but alaska is hardly better. 46 is hardly awesome.

17. Wasn't that an odd statistic for someone to bring up?
I thought I was in FR for a moment there. Not to mention that NAFTA fucked Michigan, not its new Gov.

21. I'm not saying Gov Granholm hurt Michigan, okay?
I'm a huge fan of hers. Again, went door-to-door for her, phone banked et cetera.

Palin puts Michigan in play for the GOP whether you guys like it or not.

She represents the demographic that will make Michigan even more competitive.

Your snied comments aside, not enforcing the side agreements of NAFTA by the Bush administration Fucked Michigan. That's the fact of the matter.

Truthfully, and this is from my heart, the comments about "I thought I was in Free Republic for a minute" is pure bullshit.

Your tribal mentality is unbecoming of the Big Tent party.

Luckily, the bullshit only emminates from a few in this Echo Chamber.

3. PUMA was created by Rove. Palin was picked by Rove. WAKE THE FUCK UP
this is just how they create a cover-story to steal the election.

9. It would seem rove still has his hand on the levers.
I agree that this whole puma thing and palin pick creates a story line that allows them enough margin to manipulate the results in their favor.

We're going to have to go into the election at least 10 pts ahead.

11. Exactly, but the cover story got derailed with the convention
The Palin pick will give them the opportunity to put it back on track.

PUMAS for Clinton

NOW

The PUMA story can be shifted over to Palin.

16. I agree with you but this time I think that he met his match in Obama and team
Let them have their fun fawning over what is perhaps the biggest slap in americans faces by putting both mcbush and this palin person as front runners for their team, after this past week I have no doubt that game set match is about to be revealed by obama and company when the time is right, patience

6. I have to agree.
The strategy was this:

1. Create mostly-phony PUMA movement to create a perception of crossover support for McCain.

2. Pick Palin to exploit this crossover support.

The problem, of course, is that the crossover support was *phony* and was never much more than a manufactured perception. It won't actually be there in November. The Repukes believed their own BS.

8. McCain and Palin are scape goats. Whoever runs against Obama will not have a career.
Bring up the idiots, give them some money and let them travel around for a few months.
