So the GOP is going to try to stick its religion down our throats again
Haven't we had ENOUGH of fundamentalism as a state religion!

Creationism in our schools while the china, India, Europe are kicking our ass in science? Are you kidding?
Dinosaurs walked with Adam and Eve? Are you kidding?

No Abortion in rape and incest cases? Criminalize women getting abortions?

This fundamentalist beauty queen could very well be president if McCain wins.

This election is really the difference between religious tolerance (including the right to not believe and to be let alone) or the complete evangelical Christian destruction of the separation of church and state.

2. Respectfully, don't duck the post How does she feel about teaching creationism?
Is she against abortion in rape and incest cases and would make some other person bear a child or face arrest?
The Democratic Party is right on these issues period

5. she is against abortion, but feels

it's not the government's place to tell a woman what to do with her body. she feels if abortion is made illegal women will have unsafe ones.

i don't know about teaching creationism. she takes the children to church and that's where they learn. however, my 8 year old great granddaughter said just yesterday "if a woman wants to kill her baby she should be able to". the kid also told her dad that he gets no more kisses and hugs if he doesn't vote for obama.

BTW. i'm an atheist.

3. Here are their goals (in no particular order)
1. End legal abortion. No exceptions
2. End public schools; allow religious (read:Christian) schools to be publicly funded
3. Have the nations churches, not its government, become the principal provider of social services and recepient of social funding
4. Pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage as being between 1 man and 1 woman
5. Fully support the display of religon in the public square
6. Defeat any law defining "hate speech"
7. Severely limit/end legal access to pornography. Specifically -- end PPV access in homes and hotels
8. Redefine the first amendment to mean that there really is not a separation between church and state, and allow America to be declared a Judeo-Christian nation (D. James Kennedy is big on this one)
9. Reshape the FCC in their image
10. Limit access to the Pill and other products that are believed to harm life at or after creation (barrier methods would still be OK)

4. I don't get the whole teaching religion in school
I am Christian and I am perfectly capable of teaching my kids at home what we believe. I want the schools to assist me in teaching my children the fundamentals

I believe were religion is concerned
the schools may teach my kids something I don't agree with
like
I we don't do the santa claus bit, and we explain that DEC 25th is a day chosen to Honor Jesus's b-day but there is no way to know when he was born

For thanksgiving the school spent 2 weeks teaching about turkey's and cornacopia's
I'm sure they did t through math and writing assignments, but I felt it was a waste because if we are a family that celebrats in that way, my kids will learn that at home.

But like I say they are assisting me in educating my son I am not sitting back and expecting the school to do all the work

6. if you want your child to learn religion
in school, then you send them to a religious school. i don't want my tax dollars to support public schools who teach religion.
