MSNBC: Palin contacted police chief 24 times in connection with Wooten case
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:30 PM by BeyondGeography
The police chief, who was fired, is telling Shuster this was unprecedented. He says Palin and her office continually came to him with allegations about Wooten that were unproven.

Shuster asked if there's any doubt in his mind that he was fired in July over his refusal to remove Wooten; he says he thinks it played a substantial role.

Shuster's interviewing a reporter from Anchorage next.

On edit: The investigation is set to conclude Oct. 31.

4. Wouldn't it be something if this gets legs and she has to withdraw
before the end of the convention next week.

9. The pattern i've noticed is -- if at any moment on the front page there isn't at least 60%...
takling about a specific topic then there is a good chance the MSM isnt talking about it too and it wont gain legs...Every single issue that has hit it big on the msm so far since primaries has done this on DU...

so, as for this Palin thing...so far it doesnt look to have any legs at all.

11. don't count on it. Andrew Halcro says that cops are going to offices
and taking computers. Also, there is a tip line that is set up and I KNOW that people are using it. This could get really, really bad. Sarah has no friends in the republican party up here. Know that. They hate her for upsetting their sweet deal. This is a bipartisan investigation sponsored in the legislature. She will be sorry she did this.

6. I have to wonder if McCain is nuts. No really.
Legit or not, what candidate in their right mind picks someone under *active investigation*, for abuse of power no less, for their running mate?

7. What I have read is different
Her office and/or staff made the contacts 24 times WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE. Not her personally. That's her story.

Not that it makes any difference, in fact, it makes her look like a bigger liar. Why would her staff involve themselves in her personal family dramas without her knowledge or consent? Would you meddle in your boss's personal life like that? No. Didn't think so.

12. They were sent by her. How else would they know about the
charges that she made against Wooten or that there was even a problem at all? Unless she told them, they wouldn't know.

14. This proves she was a rash, last second pick and was not vetted.
Either that or McCain has the judgment of my 3 year old.
