If the 3 am call comes, would you feel comfortable in having Palin answer the phone?

I think this is something that we as Americans need to ask ourselves before we cast our vote in November.

McCain acted irresponsibly, putting his own self interest before doing what is right for his country. This shows he will do anything to get elected. So if elected, what would he do to get re-elected? The same thing that Bush did of course. Do whatever the big money interests that control the Republican Party want.

I'm a woman, and I fully support women getting ahead but the safety of my child is my #1 priority. I'm sure I'm not the only woman who feels this way. Team Obama needs to get some regular, ordinary, American women out front making this argument.

I'd like to add that there are plenty of men I wouldn't want answering that phone either (including the current occupants of the Whitehouse).

On edit: I think there are qualified women to answer the phone. The fact is that she is NOT qualified and it is ridiculous that they assume women will support her as commander-in-chief just b/c she is a woman. Some things I might be able to overlook, and write it off as no big deal, but the security of my child is NOT one of them.

Her professional qualifications for answering the phone are worthy of discussion. Suggesting that she should not answer the phone because she is a parent is wrong and sets women's rights back by decades. I don't like Condi's views but at least she has met with foreign leaders and actually has some idea of what is going on. My God. Kay Bailey Hutchinson was better, Olympia Snowe. Many, many Rethug women were more qualified then Palin. That being said, I don't have to worry that Palin will answer the 3am phone call cause McCain is going to loose.
