Rape OK?

Incest OK?

And the biggest one: Health of the mother matter, or is she merely a non-sentient being with no right to her life other than to incubate cells?

Just curious. How extreme is Palin on this issue?

5. Precisely. OK, my heart over my head: State 31-21.
Javon Ringer is awesome, one of the top 5 backs in the nation.

Don't know about Hoyer. He's a mystery; his quarterbacking against Boston College in the bowl game was the worst we Michigander expatriates have seen since Scott Mitchell/Joey Harrington.

If he's on, they're going to be tough to beat. Look out for State's linebackers. They are animals.

If Cal takes us lightly, they are cooked. My head says Cal 24-17. My heart says State 31-21, with Ringer rumbling for 170 yards, and the D and special teams scoring at least one touchdown each.

Dantonio is going to do great things in East Lansing. Thank God our long national nightmare is over (John L. Smith).

I'm in Iowa City. To be honest, I've never seen more apathy. Usually, the town is nuts. Maybe the flood. Maybe the don't care attitude of the team. Anyhoo, I've never been so unexcited for a season to start. FUCKING SAD

18. Well, good luck, except against us. We owe you one, and we have you at home.
Kirk Ferentz was the darling of the NFL. Great job. But he has lost institutional control, which is always fatal. Iowa's top recruit for 2009, David Barrent (OL, ranked number 1 in the state), decommitted from Iowa to MSU because of all the problems.

We know about that stuff at MSU, after the Bobby Williams-John L. Smith eras. Now we have the right guy in Dantonio. He's going to shake up the power structure in the Big Ten.

It ebbs and flows. I think it may be time for Ferentz to take a walk. I wish Iowa all the best except in one game. But remember, amidst your apathy, that there is no sporting event finer than a college football game on campus on a clear day in October, with good friends and tailgating. So enjoy no matter what happens.

13. Not that this isn't important..
.. but what's REALLY important is McCain's Supreme Court pics. If he gets a chance to stack the court with more of the same, Roe v. Wade is a goner even if Palin were pro-choice.

15. Palin will be one shaky heart-beat away from the presidency.
If she gets the opportunity her appointments would not only gut Roe vs Wade, they would crush women's reproductive and health rights.

I don't think even McCain goes as far as protecting rapists and forcing women to go to term at the risk of death.

17. Check out the Feminists for Life page... she's a member there...
What I want to find out is if she believes that certain forms of contraception are actually abortion.

For example, the progesterone-only pill, the IUD, Norplant, the NuvaRing, essentially all hormonal birth control but progesterone-only BCPs are considered worse by many Pro-Lifers.

Quite a few believe that a woman taking a pill that does not always, 100% of the time, prevent conception but will prevent implantation is an abortificaent and therefore "millions of women are having countless mini-abortions every month".

Therefore they believe the only ethical birth control is tubal ligation, vasectomy, or barrier methods.

22. The only "abortion" that Feminists for Life support is in case of ectopic pregnancy.
Since in that case neither the mother nor the fetus would be able to survive if it continued.

Well. At least they are that understanding.
