Thats more than Olympics openning ceremonies.

Thats more than the final of American Idol show.

Thats more than the Academy Awards this year.

Thats double the amount that watched Kerry's acceptance speech.

Thats more than any other political convention in the history.

A tangentially related question. Can't cable tv providers determine which station someone is watching? Wouldn't my cable provider know how many of their boxes were tuned to their CSPAN channels in nyc last night? Although maybe they don't like releasing that information for competitive reasons.
