That's only the way that McCain's choice makes any sense

1. I do think there's going to be some "buyers remorse".

I don't think she was seriously vetted, or the McCampaign would've noticed her "Troopergate" issue, and maybe that she's an awkward mate for McCain in every way--no National Security/Foreign Policy cred. No national experience. The blogs have been alive with the sound of "WTF" where this choice has been concerned, I don't know if they thought out that she may have to debate Joe Biden.

Joe-Freaking-Biden. On National Security. Or anything, really.

This is one of those "Lost Bearings" moments for McCain--a man with any hope of winning might've thought more long-term, and made a more serious, less-contentious choice.

2. One thing she does is

shore up some of the rightie morons who were never going to vote for Obama but were considering staying home this election.

On some RW boards elsewhere, they are ecstatic about the choice because they say her five kids means she likes to have sex. I'm serious. That's the level these jackasses are at.
