This whole Palin selection has been surreal. Anyone else thinking they're just dreaming this?? |

6. my husband thinks McCain has really lost it |
|
I think McCain's advisors have a 3 part strategy - throw a bone to the fundy base, reinforce some sort of "reforn image" since she is known as a Rep reformer (whatever that really means) and try to poach more conservative blue-collar voters from Obama, particularly women.
It's rather Rovian in it's scope, I think.
But what confuses me is her lack of experience, and the weird mesh with having Giuliani as one of the main speakers at the convention - it seems like the are trying to have it all ways...

8. Watching her prattle on about her experience with the PTA this morning was surreal. |
|
A major American political party's nominee for V.P. boasting about her high school basketball prowess and PTA bona fides made me laugh out loud...nervously.

9. It reminds me of a bad movie |
|
A presidential nominee picks someone as a joke or to fulfill a bet or something, and then it turns out Americans really are stupid and LIKE corrupt unqualified dumbass VPs...
Nah, in reality, I think McCain has made a huge blunder.

I know McCain had motivation, but the pick still seems just odd.

11. It seems like a really cheesy movie |
|
Like, wouldn't it be totally kewl if, like, a kid became president, and like, just had a big ice cream party for all the grumpy old senators and the kid's totally adorable dog, and at the end they, like, all got together and saved the school?
