Nightmare Scenario
On one side of the negotiating table:

On the other side:

Be afraid. be very, very afraid.

19. "Chimperor"
LOL. Never heard that one before. It's funny, I'll admit it, but I disapprove of comments that compare President Bush to a monkey simply because of the racism involved. I wouldn't want a black President called that, so why should it be any different with a white one? If you think it's different, it's because you somehow link being black to being closer to a monkey; which is racist bull-puckey.

I was not accusing you of that in the least bit.

I'm just saying that I don't like anyone being called a monkey, sort of like how I don't like rappers using the "N" word.

that everyone underestimates. She'll outwit him with her charm and down-to-earth goodness, and he'll give up S. Ossetia forever. Sheesh, you all need to watch more Lifetime or something.

We live in a dangerous world, and we need the smartest, toughest mofos in the room to deal with characters like Putin. Ms. Congeniality ain't gonna cut it.

15. How is it trivial? I heard today McCain says he would be a 1 term prez.
Even he isn't sure of his health/ability to lead a few years out. Something could very well happen to him, and boom instant prez Palin against wannabe Stalin. Scary to me...

31. The experience point isn't trivial, but basing your conclusion on a single photo is.
For example, here is a picture of Joe Biden looking somewhat silly.

No way do I think sarah Palin has what it takes to be VP, especially when we have a capable guy like Biden on our ticket. On the other hand, she doesn't strike me as an airhead even though the picutre in the OP makes her look rather goofy. Not as goofy sa the Vikings though.

Not knowing much more about this person than what I learned today, I can only say this is surreal. And you summed it up.

Having said that, she is "closest" to Putin than any other politician in America. Haha.

30. Wrong
See W is actually surrounded with somewhat competent people who use their knowledge for evil and not good. W could have had a decent presidency if his entire cabinet wasn't so damned corrupt.

What the hell would the flying nun have to bring to the table, her, it appears, bully of a husband?
