Heaven forbid we should lose Nov. 4, there will still be two things to celebrate
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 11:51 PM by 4_Legs_Good
1. The VP glass ceiling being broken, albeit by the wrong person for the wrong reasons, but still one more barrier broken.

2. Nov. 4 is the release date of Bender's Game!

edit: Sorry , please note that this was supposed to be a mostly funny thread and an advert for the new Futurama movie. I'm not happy about a token woman on a ticket being the one to break the glass ceiling either.

But do watch the movie!

3. The nomination, yes, but not the actual office...
Sadly, we lost that one.

Back when Ferraro was my hero.

7. I hope you're not blaming Bender for the destruction of our country!
Just because a robot wants to kill all humans, that suddenly makes him a "radical".

Kidding, OP was mostly just a light hearted thread.

We won't lose on Nov 4th, which will make Bender's game all the sweeter!

6. I'm Jewish, and I cry into my soup every time I think about Lieberman narrowly missing being VP...
...I mean regardless of who he is, Jewish people could finally have broken a barrier! Boy, do I wish he was Vice President RIGHT NOW!

:sarcasm:

8. I don't give a good goddamn about broken glass ceilings
I care about having the best person in that post. I will not be happy in even the most abstract way if
that moron gets into the office.

11. There's no reason to be happy about a VP who thinks the world is only 6000 years old.
NONE.

12. Yes, but what about Bender's Game?!?!?!?!?!
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. Mostly the OP was just an ad for the comeback of my favorite show.

:)

10. I would weep if Palin 'broke the barrier'
As I woman I would feel nothing but rage - pure rage - if someone this unqualified and this loony actually got elected. She would be a complete laughingstock in Washington and would do little more than fetch coffee for McCain. You know she wouldn't be part of the inner circle, nor would she be involved in any serious policy decisions. He's too much of a dirty old man to have an ounce of respect for a trophy VP.

She's a clown and would set us back decades.

If those dangerous people win I'm going to give new meaning to the term Democratic Underground.
