Leaked: TALKING POINTS: MCCAIN-PALIN '08
Wonder how many of these points we'll be hearing in the coming days on the corporate media shows....could make a drinking game out of this!

"In a Scanner Exclusive, here we present talking points released by McCain HQ just a few minutes ago, albeit with insignificant word changes to protect the identity of the staffer who leaked them to us...

(This staffer, at their request, wanted to note that they are unhappy with McCain's choice because Palin is too inexperienced to be President.) Among the highlights, which should give us an idea of how McCain plans to use Palin, you will note there is no mention of Hillary Clinton or women voters. As you may recall from our earlier post, McCain's #1 reason for choosing Palin is her gender.

Instead, the memo discusses how Palin and McCain are both reformers and independents and that the problem is Washington, not a Republican President or a Democratic Congress. Here is the full text:"

1. Reformers Reformers Reformers: That's the thing we have to defeat
Remember that George Bush ran as a "reformer with results." That's how we tie this talking point to the Bush legacy of corruption. George Bush said he was a reformer, too, and he sure did reform all the agencies and the government, but not in a good way.

George Bush said he was a reformer, too.
George Bush said he was a reformer, too.
George Bush said he was a reformer, too.
George Bush said he was a reformer, too.
George Bush said he was a reformer, too.

2. They missed one
Send out female pundits and if any male questions the pick accuse them of dismissing the woman.

Funny watching Republicans playing the identity politics they so despise.

3. Dems should be salivating over these.
Pretty weak arguments if you ask me. Obama's camp ought to be able to rip these to shreds.

"Governor Palin has a record of accomplishment that Barack Obama simply doesn't have."

What???

6. Difference...Obama has made his case.
Governor Whatshername? has not made a case for herself. Put up...or shut up.

7. "The only think John McCain has reformed is his stance on the issues."

Can we start repeating that?

8. Why are they still comparing Barack to Palin?
Edited on Sat Aug-30-08 12:57 AM by nc4bo
Palin/Biden

Obama/McAnus

This comparing apples to oranges nonsense needs to be checked immediately by the O-team or the surrogates.

The rethugs are running with this (if these TPs are true). They're setting public opinion in quick dry cement.
