So, how many people showed up at McSame's veep-a-thon in Dayton?
Obama packed Mile High Stadium with 84,000 supporters, and tickets were scalped at $1,000. Yesterday there were rumors that GOP operatives had been breaking into cars to leave tickets to McLame's veep announcement at the 10,000 seat Nutter Center in Dayton.

Anybody know how many people actually showed up? Inflatable love dolls don't count.

1. Dayton Daily News says 12,000

But, as of the day of Obama's acceptance speech, tickets were still available.

Word in these parts is that the Hamilton, Warren, Clermont and Butler County GOP's did their part to get rid of the tickets.

I've been to the aptly-named Nutter Center many times.. it's used as a basketball arena and concert hall. Watching it live on TV, I couldn't help but think the place was curtained-off, it looked more like a high school gym than a rock arena.

Seems worth reporting more in depth, to me. Weird that the Dayton Daily News went with a number exactly the same as the Nutter Center's capacity, 12,000.

2. I watched part of it on TV.

Seemed to me that all camera shots that included the crowd were kinda close in. I didn't see one shot that looked like the whole place was included. I agree this is worthy of note but I don't think we'll see that from the corporate media. After all, they were involved in this deception to make it appear the stadium was filled.

Thanks for the correction on the Nutter Center's capacity.
