Where should Obama and Biden be during the hurricane? |
|
Maybe one advantage BO and Biden would have this week is if they are in NOLA (or wherever Gustav hits) about 3 hours after the prime storm dies done working their asses off with delivering good and supplies. I don't mean dropping in for a quick presser but camping out for a couple of days and rolling up sleaves helping. Even if the Shrub shows up the media will be all over Obama while the Repukes are partying in Minneapolis.
Thoughts?

Remember he was down there for like a week afterwards busting his ass. They'd show pictures and he was covered in muck sweating his ass off hauling boxes and water. It didn't get much coveregae since he wasn't running for anything but I remember that like it was yesterday.

Seems like a lot of 'Mericans would rather see people holding signs saying "Fags Shouldn't Marry" and "Women DO NOT have a choice."

It could backfire depending on the spin the RW applies, but yeah... anything to remind the general electorate of the dismal failure in the Bush administration's response to Katrina. Either way, footage of Obama and Biden talking to victims, handing out water would be great if they were interspersed with Republicans trying to sell Sarah Palin as an example of McCain's wise judgment.
