"If Palin was a man she wouldn't get the same opposition."
Are you kidding me?
Palin is a lightweight in ANY gender.
What the fuck is wrong with these people?

who has ruined the economy of the people she was elected to goven. Also she lacks any foreign relations experience. I really wonder if these people actually care about America at all. Not to mention the fact that she is under an ethics probe for abuse of office. No employer Male or female would consider her suited for the job of VP. mcCain can chose anyone he wants for VP but his pick shows an utter lack of judgement.

More to the point, if this is an example of the kind of decisions and appointments John McCain will make as president I think it should put real questions into peoples minds about electing him. No matter how you try to twist her 'executive' experience when compared to many other potential running mates she is a 'lightweight'. Liddy Dole, Kay Bailey Hutchison to name a couple are much more experienced and 'heavy weight' than Palin if putting a woman on the ticket was what McCain wanted to do. When a president makes appointments I would like to think they would pick the people that are the 'best' qualified not just those that meet the minimum requirements for the job. Palin is probably a nice person and given some more time might have been a good VP candidate but at this time in her career she is not. I even saw a video where she was asked about being picked for VP and she just laughed it off as if it were a ridiculous idea so even she thought she wasn't qualified at this point.
