Choosing Palin is actually causing me to fall back in love with Hillary
Most people here know that I've not been kind to Hillary Clinton. Though I like her as a person, her divisive campaign tactics caused me to dislike her. But oddly enough after McSame's desperate move to choose Palin in a cynical attempt to appeal to Hillary diehards, I find myself defending Hillary, drawn to her. She is exceedingly more qualified for the VP spot. It's a slap in the face to ALL women--regardless of color, creed, faith--who have worked hard for everything they have to be passed over for a beauty queen with only 1.5 years' executive experience and the mayor of a very small town. I'm not being sexist here. John McCain is!!

I hope that this move actually has the opposite effect of what McSame, the Repukes, and KKKarl Rove are hoping for. I hope that the women who supported Hillary are not fooled by this tactic.

I hope that we as women Democrats finally come together in sisterhood to ensure that Obama/Biden become the President and Vice President of the United States.

I see Hillary's star rising now more than ever!!

1. I he had picked Dole, Snowe, Hutchinson, Collins.....
Any number of women who have been on the Republican stage for YEARS and who despite my disagreements with them politically and ideologically, are no doubt strong, accomplished women who have the temperment and experience and political background to be qualified for such a job, then he would have stood a solid chance of peeling off women voters and disaffected Hillary supporters. Any of those women I mentioned despite the political differences, have similar pedigrees and experience and stature as Hillary does/did. But this....I really can't see how it doesn't backfire with women.

2. Wouldn't it be wonderful if..
...McCain's pick back fired and only helped cement the unity that came out of our convention!

3. I do believe that it's happening now!
I am a member of a health care blog primarily for African American women. Many of us were quite turned off by Hillary Clinton during the primaries, but you should see us now. All of us are furious over this pick. All of us stand firmly behind Senator Clinton right now. In a odd twist of events, McSame's desperation is indeed bringing us together. And I'm talking about white and black sisters, Latinas...ALL of us!

Hillary rocks! ;)
