Just Think About It. The Republicans accused Obama of not vetting
his vetters. Remember? He should have vetted his vetters. LOL.

Yet here McCain picks his VP without any vetting at all. Somebody needs to make an ad about this. It's ridiculous.

1. And the experience thing, but...
My misguided thoughts about Palin's lack of experience were dismissed by Huckabee who pointed out that it's worse than I thought.

Experience in the senate doesn't count, it's not executive, you aren't running anything, but Palin ran a city AND a state, a state 600x the size of Delaware!

OMG, we're toast, Biden and Obama are both senators!!!

But John is a senator, I thought to myself.

Well, again, my little brain had failed to consider John's "executive experience" running things because he was a navy commander.

Before changing channels, I thought, before he became a POW the only things he "ran" were aircraft into things.

2. He did vet her, then he made a risky choice anyway.
The guy is a poor decision maker. He can't see farther than the very short term.

4. Hard to see long term
when your personal long term is short term.

7. I think we should wait and see how she performs at the RNC
If she gives a kick ass acceptance speech, we rebut the substance. if she flops, we play up the flop. If we're attacking her lack of experience, but she comes across as a breath of fresh air, ready and determined and all that then her lack of experience is not to the point. Some people are naturals. Look at Obama. The REASON the experience meme isn't catching on and deterring him is that he is a PHENOMENAL talent. Why waste time keeping this guy in AAA when you can bring him up to the majors and ride him to the WOrld Series.

Let's see what kind of talent Palin is. IF she is a second rate talent, then we hammer her on lack of experience, etc. If she proves to be major league ready, then we go after her on another score.

9. But she's not a breath of fresh air
Anyone who thinks that abortion should be illegal even in the case of rape or incest is archaic. I am so offended by this pick that I could scream.

11. Obama has always been a thoughtful person, reflective on his own
circumstance and other's circumstances. Moreover, he is brilliant, a first class thinker admired by the best in this country. His judgment has borne out on a whole list of the biggest issues of our day, especially in the area of foreign policy. He was able to defeat the former first lady, her husband, and their machine. He has put together an operation second to none, the most impressive organization we have ever seen from scratch.

Sarah Palin can't begin to compare resumes.

8. She is NOT a natural, however. I cringed watching her speech yesterday.
THIS is the next in line should something happen to McGrumpster? Dear God.

10. What makes you think she wasn't vetted? She's been on "the list" for awhile.
She wasn't on the media's short list, but her name was mentioned as being on the list a long time ago. Her name actually arose in the blogosphere by conservative bloggers. They love her.

12. Okay, we'll see whether she was vetted or not. I don't see how
you make the pick when you've only talked to the person once. And it's sheer lunacy to talk about how she will perform in one speech at the RNC. I don't see how the poster above can even compare her to Obama. Obama spent almost two years being vetted by the public. He got 18 million people to say he should be the nominee. Palin wsas picked by one senile old crinkly white haired dude.

If you call this vetting, then fine. Illustrates the double-standard between democrats and republicans.
