Hey McCain, why not Olympia Snow or even Elizabeth Dole? What an insult to Republican women. |
|
This was not about Hillary voters, if it was he would have picked Susan Collins or some other experienced Republican woman who is "perceived" as bi-partisan.
This was about the evangelicals who expect to be beamed up as soon as they get this evil world lined up right.
This was about sucking the news cycle away from Obama's brilliant speech.
This was about putting Biden, an old school gentleman up against a feisty, very good looking women, hoping he will inadvertently call her honey.
This was about oil in Alaska.
The fact is both Hillary and McCain sold their souls to win at all costs. The irony is, before this election McCain and Hillary would have been a very compatible team. This country is so polarized, and team oriented they could never have joined forces. That says something bad about the USA.
It is baffling... unless...
McCain is really a VAMPIRE! Now that he has sucked the life out of his wife he needs fresh blood!

3. Oh, it was an incredibly partisan move. |

To say nothing of calculatingly cynical, and obtuse. 'cans and their supporters are gushing about McCain shattering the glass ceiling. Sorry, folks, the Democrats did that two and a half decades back.
And women are supposed to respond with gratitude because he picked a woman. But his choice was designed to spite moderate to liberal voters of both genders. The pro-gun, anti-abortion stances are one clue, and so is her inexperience in government and, for that matter, in the sort of communities most Americans live in. What does Palin know, for instance, of the bread-and-butter issues that affect most of us -- mass transit, skyrocketing housing prices, etc., etc.?
