Here's my real worry: assassination attempts on Obama
It's started:

CHARLOTTE - A federal grand jury has indicted an Indian Trail accountant on charges that he threatened to kill U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.

The indictment accuses Jerry Blanchard, 48, of twice publicly threatening to shoot and kill Obama last month. On July 15, Blanchard told two diners at a Waffle House on Pineville-Matthews Road that he planned to kill Obama with a rifle he would buy from Hyatt's Gun Shop on Wilkinson Boulevard, authorities say. On July 28, a witness said, Blanchard made similar threats at Charlotte's Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Boy, I hope the campaign is taking these threats seriously. I also hope the Secret Service doesn't layback the way they did in Dallas in 1963.

1. Obama needs to hand pick his secret service agent.
Which, of course, will unsettle the secret service agents who have been loyal to Bush and the GOP. So, yes, I'm concerned.

4. The Secret Service has done a FANTASTIC job so far.
If he was in danger at ANY time, it was on thursday night more than ever.
They are doing their job.

10. I wouldn't expect them to be so bluntly obvious as to do something
careless this early in the game. Maybe my opinion of them will change when the give up the visitor list so we can judge for ourselves if they were protecting the country, or protecting the GOP.

2. As many do, but that can not keep him from running
And that can not keep us from voting for him.

He knows the danger and so far has appeared to be willing to take those risks to make America a better place to live.

5. They busted people in Colorado last week that were after him.
The SS is NOT playing around. They're doing a great job, and will continue to do so.

6. Yeah, but, remember...
millions of people HATE Bush, and he's still walking. I don't think anything will happen to Obama. Security is much more tight, and capable now days. But, I also think that if there have/had been attempts to take Bush out, we'd never hear about it, because this admin doesn't want people to think Bush is hated...

7. I have to admit that I've never bought the single shooter theory
of either JFK, Bobby, or MLK, Jr. That contributes to my anxiety.

8. I agree, On Monday he will be in Detroit, in an outside arena surrounded by tall buildings
if I were a sniper, and I am not, I would consider that a perfect set up.

no way every window can be covered. I know that not all will have a clear view of the stage, but enough will to worry me.
