2. The Dems and the GOP might have different agendas about HOW to go about it,

but remember that Biden wants us to return to Afghanistan and that 'war' is also about oil/gas/pipelines.
In fact I can't think of any 'war zones' or theatres, that DON'T have to do with oil/gas and pipelines. One can follow our foreign policy for the last half a century by following the pipelines. Perhaps the GOP wants to explore 'new' territories while the Dems want to stick with
the ones we already have in the works, but the goal is pretty much the same, it seems to me.
