How does Sara Palin help McCain with "conservative democrats" |
|
The woman is to the right of W? Seriously I just heard some talking head say she'll help with Reagan democrats?

they make it seem like all those 'reagan democrats' voted Reagan based on the issues only. They don't mention the political climate at the time. Obama is the change candidate this year, and McCain/Palin are no Ronald Reagan. If any democrat, Reagan or not, would vote McCain based on her lame ass, then they need to switch parties.

2. It's idiocy. She is a right wingnut. No real dem who looks at her views will vote for her. |
|
They're targeting low-info voters with her.

3. She will help with the Huckabee evangelical hard core right conservatives. Also, |
|
I think he's hoping Hillary supporters will vote for her (Dem Hillary supporters, not just the McCain plants). She's also supposed to appeal to the blue collar working class voters who are NRA members in Appalachia and thereabouts...McCain is having trouble there.
I come from a dark red rural area filled with gun owners, hunters, Bible totin', libral-hatin' people. Believe me....this is the daughter every redneck man would LOVE to have (including my dad...instead, my dad got me, a "greenie").
Gun owners in rural America are really going to relate to, and love, Palin. She is very much the girl next door in those areas, and a tough cookie to boot.
I can't see her appealing to anyone other than hard core far right conservatives, though.

this election won't be decided by only their base. How many independent minded people would vote for McCain after naming that fucking whack job as his running mate?

until that pick. She's solid Obama. Her rational. He's old and can die at any minute Palin is insulting to women since she was handed the job because she's a woman.

And that's the plan, get the extreme right out voting. That will probably guarantee the election will be close.
She has absolutely NO appeal to moderates, independents or Liberals. NONE. Most of these people will see her as batshit crazy.

7. Even if it does help siphon off conservative Dems, it does nothing for the Undecideds |
|
or the Independents. Those two groups will swing this election. They care more about Iraq and the Economy and McSame is weak on BOTH fronts!
