Damn, GUSTAV might HELP the GOP because........(map attached) |
|
I bet BUSH has the National Guard down there in 1 hour and will leave the convention with Cheney and fly down there and the GOP will use it as an example of how well they learned their lesson!! But only the GOP fans will buy it I hope! http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/storm_graphics/AT07/refresh/AL0708W5+gif/085813W_sm.gif

1. We should hope so. If they haven't learned their lesson, they are beyond help. |

If it happens again, it will mean no more to them than it did the first time. They don't have any sense of remorse about Katrina, other than that it began to expose their callousness and incompetency. The consequences meant and still mean nothing to them. :wtf: :grr:

2. I doubt it...just a painful reminder of the last mess. |
|
And if the levees fail again it's game over for so many reasons.
I pray that they dont, but we'll soon see if the Bush administration did anything to make New Orleans safe.

I don't think anyone will ever forget the criminal neglect this administration showed towards Katrina victims. I hope they have scads of rescuers and shelters if Gustav is as bad as we think it might be. I'd rather have that than this bereft administration once again doing nothing while people die, and just letting dead human beings rot on the side of roads.

5. I honestly don't care. If saving lives helps the GOP, then let them save the lives. |
|
We'll deal with the rest, because we're better and America knows it.

political advantage and/or disadvantage. Those poor people down there.

13. Give me a break. My talking about it will now change the power of it..... |
|
my point is that the same administration who did not give a shit last time will use it to their advantage this time. Not to help the people but to make them look good.
I 100% hope it turns into a tropical storm with no damage. But I am also pissed the GOP will use it to help their cause!

12. aliens in a foreign land |
|
bush.cheney don't know how to pretend to be compassionate. they're heartless, soulless robots -- aliens-- studying us for clues, and then mimicking what they think compassion looks like. Fakers like that never get it right.
And sadly, they haven't done jack shit to help NOLA prepare better. they have people still in those rickety FEMA trailers which are poising them....and can't withstand a hurricane.
It is a real testament to their incompetence and inhumanity.

14. Always expect the worse |
|
from the GOP...
just when you'd think that they would display just SOME sort of concern and preparation for the common good
WE ARE ALL TAKEN TO A NEW LOW...
mark my words...
if you were disgusted with Katrina and everything else for the past 8 years,
THIS WILL BE EVEN WORSE...
remember: the repukes ALWAYS manage to make yesterdays disgust with them seem like a previous HIGH...
