Forget About the Alaska Investigation.
McCain wouldn't have picked her unless they first got control of whoever is in charge of the investigation. They'll give her a clean bill of health. I'll bet my only house on it.

2. Another post says they just sent someone to find out what is going on.
They didn't even vet it.

5. McCain only met her ONCE.
Pretty sure he has no idea about the investigation. He didn't vet her the way Obama vetted his picks.

9. And just think about how they have been bragging about her
maverick status. She took on the republicans. Now she's got enemies among the very people that she needs to help clam this thing up.

I think we may have a Thomas Eagleton like thingy going here.

12. McCain is incompetent, the federal Repub machine is still in the process shattering into pieces.
They might be able to keep something patched together, more or less, until Nov., but it'll take them at least one term to rebuild. It'll take at least that long for people to forget, and for the same old neocons to embed themselves behind a new set of puppet politicians. The Republican criminals might be able to control Mukasey and the inner DC circle, mainly because congressional Dems have been spineless tools, but even with that kind of support from their puppet Dems the breakup of the fed Repubs can't be contained.

I'm way too cynical lately, way too disbelieving than is healthy - but I still think the US is at core a stable and strong democracy built on sound principles and with a majority of good people. What's needed are new methods of communication which bypass the MSM propoganda machine, after which strong leadership will emerge.

13. Color me way more cynical
than your second paragraph colors you....I think we are, currently, in deep doo doo...in fact, to the point that we haven't got a clue exactly what damage has been done to this country inside and out, over the last 8 years alone...we forgot to pay attention for way too many years and became way too apathetic...we didn't pay attention to what the forefathers intended this country to be, and protect their visions....nor did we take warnings by the likes of Ike, and Kennedy seriously enough...unfortunately, there were certain "evil-doers", just standing in the wings patiently waiting for their chance...while taking advantage of whatever they could along the way, then when they got their big chance, they took it..I believe that day was Nov. 22, 1963...now, 45 years later...they have a strangle hold, and we will be lucky to survive and recover...yes, I still believe there are decent people...I can only hope we've found them, and that they manage to wake everyone else up, so that we can save ourselves and our Democracy...here's hoping that the stuff our forefathers were made of, in some small amount, is still found in our genes....wb
