Who else is NOT watching the Rethuglican Convention?

Hubby and I are NOT. I've decided to use my time to plan some LTTEs and how I can best be used in the campaign. On September 20th I'm going to New Hampshire with the CT Brigade to talk to unaffiliated women voters about McCain (and now Palin's) view on Roe. I'll find out what my ward wants to do (hubby is on the ward committee) in our neighborhood. That' ll keep me busy enough.

Anyone else with me on this?

9. What convention?

If I don't watch it, will it still make people sick? There's so much better fiction on tv, why waste one's time with this rerun of Fantasy Land? I've got babies to diaper, wolves to kill, and old men to pander to. Where'd I put that scope rifle? Oops, I broke a nail. And now my crown needs polishing. So much to do...so few Beauty Queens to do it.

Bash Barack during the Dem convention. If I got to hear 4 days of Bash McCain then I might watch but I have to faith that the coverage will be anything more than a 4 day tribute to the POW who loves our country more than life itself. :eyes:

Even seeing the chimp talk makes me sick, let alone all those Repubs cheering him & the rest of the me-me-me, greedy, war-mongering party. Wish Olbermann's show was going to be on to make me laugh a bit about it all!

to the TV. I really want to see Obama and Biden rip these two apart. It will be revenge at its sweetest.

Hallway in an office building at night. Uniformed security guards Willie and Frankie -- two working class nebbishes with thick New York accents -- carry flashlights and walk down the hall testing the knobs on the locked office door.

Willie: You know somethin', Frank?

Frankie: What?

Willie: Shoo, boy. I can't watch the Republican Convention.

Frankie: What's the matter?

Willie: Eh, my shoulder hurts. You know - you know that narrow hallway in the boiler room? The one with the, uh--?

Frankie: Exposed bolts comin' out o' the wall?

Willie: Yeah. Well, every time I walk past it, the bolts dig right into my shoulder. I-- It's very painful.

Frankie: Boy. You wanna talk about some pain? I bought one o' them linoleum knives the other day, you know?

Willie: With the double edge?

Frankie: Right.

Willie: Yeah?

Frankie: So, I go home, you know, and I spread my toes apart and I just start sawing, back and forth and back and forth, you know?

Willie: Mm hmm.

Frankie: And I take a little thing o' Tobasco sauce, you know?

Willie: Yeah.

Frankie: And just dump it on there. Talk about a hotfoot, mister! Boy, that was rough.

In a "train wreck" sort of way. I'll watch McCain's speech.
