Also, it exposes her for lying on multiple occasions. It's always the cover-up, not the crime, that gets politicians in trouble.

38. I would care because she lied - a big, bold lie. It is about her personal life, and that |
|
is different to me than lying about government matters and, still, lying about your daughter having a baby and claiming it is your own is highly dysfunctional family behavior in this day and age.

heels? C'mon. It's also the same jacket that she was photographed in on another date.

someone wore the same jacket on 2 occasions? God Forbid.
We are all getting a little into way out land here, I think. There are enough easy questions to be asked that we really don't need to extend ourselves here.
Plus, its a pointless issue. Even if she did take her daughters child as her own, what difference would that make? All it does is humanize her to many, make her that much more the mother. Even if there were hard evidence, every Fundie is going to love it even more. All they will see is self sacrificial, plus being a good mother to the older daughter. And they will admire the anti choice aspect. And in what way does it hurt her, with who?
Better that she was oddly irresponsible flying from TX to AK with leakage. That turns her into a bit of a kook, at best.

Its expected of them. And either way, the people who like her will see it as protecting her daughter, and the rest will see it as protecting her image. And neither will be supprised, nor change their opinion of her one iota.
As I said, the questionable judgement in flying while leaking is more relevant and the more damaging scenario.

|
If this is the case, it bespeaks a deeply freakish mind, something too weird and "out there" for most people to take. Well, fundies maybe cuz they're freakish thinkers themselves, but everyone else would be weirded out.
Personally, I think if her daughter HAD gotten pregnant Palin would put out a story that her daughter made a mistake, is going into counseling and had turned to Jesus for help. That's the standard, RW "get out of jail free" card.

Palin would be on her own withthis one. It's just too crazy. Besides, she'd just do that standard excuse if it were her daughter's kid. And she knows she might get a little bitof credit for doing it.
I see no reason why she wouldn't just have fudged a bit on the leakage bit and had the kid herself...even if she really didn't look very pregnant.

I don't follow you here. What is your theory of the actual happenings, and then your analysis of what that means.
I'm sorry. I don't think that our country cares that much about lies, unless you can show them it is pertaining to a larger matter. Particularly when it comes to Republics, of whom lies are expected, even required. Most people lie on a daily basis to smooth over social interaction, and avoid unpleasant responsibilities.

4. What's with the countdown clock at the end of video? |
|
1026 days, 21:59 hours:minutes and 15 seconds.
Is that a reference to her term as governor?
Also, is that a tiny Israeli flag in her office window?
When was it that her son was born (surely that is public information)... This video was done sometime between Feb 11 and Feb 20... and it's hard to tell if she is a few months pregnant, since she has that zip-up bulky winter windbreaker... but she is "hiking" in high heeled boots. Would someone 6 months pregnant or more go hiking in high heels? (even if it's only walking around town... the streets are slick and there is plenty of ice/slush everywhere)

6. googled for some of my own questions |
|
Trig was born April 18th, 1 month premature.
So in Feb 11 to Feb 20, Sarah Palin would have been exactly 6 months pregnant.
I just talked to my sister and my girlfriend... they both say that at 6 months, it was possible to go for hikes and so on, but neither would have chosen to walk with high heeled boots (it's too easy to slip and fall)

Most OBs recommend against it due to the absorption of the chemicals into the scalp and subsequently the bloodstream. Same with getting a perm.

39. Well, my OB had no problems with it in the last 16 weeks.. |
|
and I can't think of any of my friends or co-workers who didn't dye their hair in the last few months of pregnancy. I've seen plenty of online articles and OB's who say that it's fine.. just try to keep most of the dye on the hair and on the scalp.
My point is to the original argument however.. just because she dye's her hair doesn't mean she's not pregnant.

19. She's a Pentecostal, and they're very hawkish on ME issues as a rule, |
|
because they believe Israel has to control all of it's biblical territory before the second coming. The Assemblies of God, of which she is a member, tends to be especially focused on "end times" stuff, though of late other denominations have also prioritized this doomsday scenario over their traditional anti-semitism to some degree.

Not saying that she wasn't pregnant, but I find it appalling that a mother of four who is carrying a child with Down Syndrome as her fifth child would travel the distance she did and then fly back after her water broke.
Reprehensible, irresponsible, life threatening.

Gave a speech in Colorado (?) AFTER her water broke then insisted on flying back to ALASKA to give birth? The commentators were giving her points for being double tough, but I have a hard time believing any woman with a risky prenancy would endanger herself or her Down's Syndrome child if she valued life at all. How many hours from anywhere in Colorado does it take to fly to Juneau?
I looked it up. Flight from Denver to Juneau 5 hr. 35 min. Poor judgement proven - IF she was pregnant.
