4. ...
Feels like an eternity ago..

It feels like any and all momentum from the convention is dead in its tracks and we're back to squabbling amongst ourselves.

6. Mostly I am poking fun at Palin - it's supposed to be a joke, right?
He could not be serious, could he?

5. HMM
On the one hand, I understand and even agree with your point. We need to get back to Obama.

On the other hand, playing devils advocate, isn't it better to be fighting over whether Palin is acceptable VP material rather than fighting about whether Biden is acceptable VP material? Because thats what I saw an awful lot of a week ago. We seem to have settled whether Biden and Obama are good choices with this new comparison to the R ticket, and are spending our time savaging them rather than us.

8. Actually what I meant was the coverage O/B got was so much more
and so much more positive than anything the pugs have been doing.
They have been nearly shut out of the national news cycle for nearly 2 weeks with the run up to the Biden announcement, the convention and then McCain's thud of a veep pick.

9. There is that
I think the next week will be the R's to own. They have a VP and a convention. If they are unlucky, it will be tied to Gustav. If the Gulf Coast is lucky, they will be spared, somehow. It might be the one time in history that the good of the people actually aligns with what the R's want.

As a side question, how much discretion does Obama have with Campaign moneys? For instance, If things get bad again with Gustav, is there some way to direct money towards saving/helping people? I cannot think of anything that would be a higher purpose, a better counterpoint to the R convention and the past 8 years, and better advertising than that.
