Does anyone think that Obama/Biden..
are preparing to be on the scene after Gustav hits?
I think seeing them working alongside of response personnel would be very compelling.

1. That's really not their job and they would most likely be more in the way than anything
with all the Secret Service and journalists around them.

2. You're right, but I also bet that McFossil will make a bee-line there.

3. Yes, good point
They do not want in ANY way for their efforts to look like a photo-op either.
But I am remembering what Al Gore did when he flew people out at his own expense.
But, you are right, with the security of them involved, it could be too distracting and problematic.

5. It's the same reason why Obama did not go to Iowa during the flooding
when he was asked not to come, but McCain still showed up for the photo op and was in the way and was a distraction for people trying to do their jobs.

7. Oh yeah!
There we go!
After seeing your pics(thank you, by the way)there may be a chance of it happening.
McCrypt wouldn't do so well with the #2 shovel. Obama and Joe though are in good shape!

8. He might call...
on the American people to help if anything disastrous happens, and organize the effort.
