Wouldnt be the 1st time a VP pick has been replaced before the convention///

1. Considering how well the last one worked out, I doubt they'll pursue that option.
Their recent history indicates that they'll just entrench themselves and defend Palin to the death. That's SOP when there's a Republican scandal, etc.

if the RNC comes as scheduled, McCain would be limited to Public Financing after Wednesday.

if he delays, he can keep spending.

3. If she bows out now, McCain might as well start packing too because it would be over.
One could only dream of this scenario. I seriously don't think there's any turning back for them now. It's McCain/Palin or bust. I'm willing to put a rather large chunk of my money on BUST. :)
