Palin's giving the exact same speech as yesterday... |
|
why is this on the networks? We already saw it yesterday.
Oh, and they just ended it with "Right Now" by Van Halen, after Van Halen already told them to stop because they hadn't (and wouldn't have) given permission to use it. Fucking thieves.

2. Are you sure they're not just re-running yesterday's speech? |
|
You'd think after undoubtedly getting a C&D from Van Halen, they'd have pulled the song.

But you forget they're Republicans.
No, it was live, and they were in PA and outdoors, whereas yesterday they were... somewhere else (I forget exactly :P), but it was indoors.

3. Just a different outfit! |

Same words, same hand gestures, same pauses, EVERYTHING...
Oh, except that two children were on the bus instead of being behind her like yesterday.

5. And what's all this talk about change and reform? |
|
What are they going to change exactly? McCain is towing the same old party lines and she's a wingnut at heart. She's just ripping off Obama's lines with nothing to back them up.

13. nope, definitely live... |
|
different state, outdoors (vs. indoors), people cheering "Sarah, Sarah!" and so on.
I think it could be used as a good example of how she has no national experience: she's used to giving the same speech in small Alaska town to small Alaska town, but now she has the cable news networks following her and showing each speech nationally. A few more repeats like this and it'll become a sad joke that everyone will notice.

10. Geez, you didn't expect the beauty queen to learn 2 speechs in 2 days, didja? |
|
Give her a break, she matched the color of her shoes, at least!!
This is more harrowing for her, than for him - he's got his lucky feather, and his lucky shoes, and his lucky rock, and his lucky seater vest, and his lucky charm to keep him cool, calm, and collected.

And these reporters on MSNBC are talking about McCain-Palin taking the change theme and running with it. But these people don't understand is that the CHANGE Obama is talking about is changing the economy, changing our foreign policy, change the way we treat our veterans, etc.
The only CHANGE McCain-Palin is talking about is having a woman on the ticket and supposedly getting rid of special interests in Washington.

14. what do you call "change" that's already been changed? |
|
The Democrats already had a woman on the ticket 20 years ago. The GOP is just finally catching up to where the Democrats were 20 years ago. She's not "making history" (as I heard on one of the non-Faux networks) but is just going where Ferraro's already gone and trying to exploit Hillary's actual history-making campaign.
I do love that the tables are turned this year. The last few elections we've had the Dems try to piggyback on the Republicans (War! Low taxes! "Save" Social Security by destroying it!), but now the Dems are the ones with the real message and the Republicans are stuck piggybacking. Obama-Biden ("Obiden" ;-) ) owns the Change theme, so the Repubs' invoking that with Palin just reminds voters of Obama. It's great.
