and now for something completely different: imagine if sarah palin were a man, say, "michael" palin. would he have been picked as mclame's running mate?

michael palin would simply be a laughingstock.

people would just laugh at just about anything he said.

it would be a complete joke.

he is simply not qualified to be vice president.

he might be good fodder for the late-night comedians, but not good to actually run this country.

i mean, it's like he's from some foreign land or something, not from real america.

what would michael palin know about the struggles of hard-working americans in the heartland?

he could probably write an entertaining speech or two, but that's hardly enough to be vice-president.

sure, he knows a lot about the meaning of life, but that's good for being a philosopher, not a vice-president.

i think mclame just thinks he found the holy grail when he heard michael palin's name.

maybe he's qualified to be vice-president of brazil, but not the united states.

1. Of course not. Not a chance in hell.
This is entirely a play based on assuming that women are stupid and will vote for any ticket that includes a female.

But wait--he does have SOME experience, what with the whole Roman rule thing...oh wait. He didn't do so well, did he? Terrible public speaker.

5. No fucking way. I said this yesterday. She was chosen for her anatomy.
Sadly.. women are still tokens in society. Our bodies sell beer, we sell cars, we sell magazines. We are used in politics the same way. This decision was a slap in the face to QUALIFIED women everywhere. And frankly, it was a slap in the face to the QUALIFIED VP men she was up against. If I were Pawlenty or Romney or any of those guys, I'd be campaigning for OBama right now.. cuz I'd know that McCain and the GOP care jack shit for our country and safety, and only care about winning so that the PNAC can continue their march toward domination.

That's why I don't care if people think we're being sexist making comments about her being the VP candidate... cuz if she had a penis, she wouldn't be there on stage with McCain.
