CNN: "It was a bold, gutzy move" selecting Palin
It has energized his campaign and look at the crowd at his rally! prior to this he had trouble getting a big crowd.

Slobbering over this selection. Gloria and Wolf.

11. I absolutely agree
He had burned too many bridges with respectable (Beltway Conservatives) like Romney that he basically had no choice but to select her. It was either Palin or beg Romney on his hands and knees to be his VP. Romney plans on running for president again 2012, so he wanted nothing to do with McCain.

4. a move made in desperation is not "gutsy"...
When you got nothin', you got nothin' to lose.

If McCain believed he had a chance to beat Obama, he would've played it much more safely (read: sanely), but since Obama-Biden is unstoppable, there was no reason not to just say, "Fuck it, go with that chick with the nice rack I met that one time."

6. It was a move of appeasement to Limbaugh and his buddies. A "bold, gutsy move" would've
been Lieberman or Ridge-his friends. Not someone he met twice in his looong life.

7. There's nothing gutsy about picking someone unqualified to be president. The MSM just can't admit it
Cable news coverage is all about style over substance. That's why they use words like "gutsy" to describe a pick that was so transparently political. It's really as wimpy as you get, but instead they fawn all over her.

10. Remeber E.T. coming out and then the knock-offs followed (eg. Mac and Me)
I remember when ET came out it was hugely popular and stayed in theatres for a full year (unheard of today) and when it was done its run a ton of knock-off movies followed....and despite the initial hype of those knock-offs (the media was talking the press "appeared excited) when all was said and done, when it counted (making money at the box office) every one of those knock-offs failed. Palin is a pander knock-off to get some attention...yes it will work initially but because she was solely taken at the last second she is finished...the public tends to know the difference (at least for certain things).

Add to that the fabulous DNC and Obama's speech and the rest of the rats left the sinking Repuke ship. Nobody wants to set sail and sink with Grampy so that left Mayor McCheesecake of the Mooseburger.
