I'm afraid I can't recognize an AK-47 from another kind of assault rifle. But on French television (which I get through Dish Network) I saw her with some kind of automatic weapon slung on her shoulder on what looked like a firing range along with what looked like a couple of Alaska National Guard members.

When I saw these pics/video footage on the news, they were show when the newsreaders were discussing Palin's national security credentials. I kid you not. It was as if they were trying to plant in people's minds that because Palin could handle a weapon she could be CIC of our military. Stephen Colbert makes his living mocking the fact that people prefer to feel their truth than determine it to a reasonable degree. And business is good.

Al Gore didn't just write one book.
