Bush continues to lie to the American people about the economy
It must be genetic.

"When it comes to expanding our economy, defeating the recession, we're getting the job done," Bush said in Troy, Ohio, during a bus tour of a state hit hard by job losses in the manufacturing sector.

Bush acknowledged workers had faced tough times and called for the use of tax-free savings accounts to help pay for major health care costs...

That's a great idea Mr. President. Offer the people tax free savings accounts to pay for health care, retirement etc. etc.
I guess you don't understand that unemployed people don't have any money to put into savings accounts, let alone pay for important things, do you?

The Toledo Blade disagrees with the lies President Bush has been telling about the economy:

http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20040821/BUSINESS06/408210319

"Ohio last month had 44,000 fewer jobs than a year ago, and the unemployment rate rose to 5.9 percent in July as more residents were looking for work, a state official said yesterday."

"Ohio lost 8,000 jobs between June and July this year. In the manufacturing sector, the state gained 3,000 jobs between June and July, although the 827,700 factory jobs statewide still fell 12,500 short from a year ago, according to state figures released yesterday"

Why is it that Bush Jr. and his father could not bring themselves to tell the American people the truth about the economy? Don't they thin we can "handle" the truth? After all, we've been handling it for about three years now. He hasn't even 'touched' the subject, let alone 'handled' it.

2. I can remember two - he finally said there were no WMD in Iraq
and another time said Sadam had nothing to do with 9-11. Of course, since then they've been back to saying the lies again. Those are the only ones I've seen in 3.5 years.
