"Alaska IS the closest state to Russia" - Cindy McCain
During an interview with George Stephanopolous (This Week/ABC) this morning Cindy McCain explained Sarah Palin's foreign policy experience:

...."Well George, Alaska IS the closest state to Russia!"

And sadly, she wasn't joking.

This is about as effective as sleeping on your College Algebra textbook, hoping something seeps into your head the night before the final.

Let's face it, Florida is close to Cuba so using this logic, that makes Crist an expert on Communism.

14. Actually, she is joking, the whole McCain campaign is a joke
as is the conservative wing of the Republican Party. The goal is to turn our government into a joke and leave the door wide open for private interests, and it has been going on at least since Reagan.

17. Palin was tapped because of the energy issue, though I assume Palin has some knowledge
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 10:59 AM by wlucinda
and experience in foreign affairs via trade and her border security. Alaska does several billion dollars of trade annually with several foreign countries.

She was tapped because of her interest in energy issues, both renewable, and in using our reserves rather than foreign dependence, and because shes a woman. They want the indy vote and to pick off people pissed about our primary.

Biden is our Foregin Relations guy, Mc Cain is theirs.
