Here's an idea for a 527... a mild form of civil disobedience. |

Organize people to infiltrate Bush's campaign rallies. Give them all identical t-shirts with a message easily visible/legible to TV viewers and guarantee them bail IF no violence happens during the arrest.
Have the provocateurs cover up their t-shirt until Bush starts speaking. Then have them stand up take the cover off and sit down. Put two or three pairs at various events. Have each pair "unveil" at various times during the event.
Frame the event as a freedom of speech incident.
I know that this has already happened in various ways but doing it in an organized manner and alerting the media will spook the Bushies and should provoke a downpour of bad publicity for Bush.

but I think its silly. Its more of a publicity stunt and will neither cause bush to lose support or gain support for Kerry. It would probably make the news, but they would some how spin it to make it look like a bunch of silly Kerry supporters tryin to get some attention. Sorry to knock your idea, but its how I feel. Do, though, keep coming up with new ideas, we definitely need them.

2. Could be a silly idea but I think that video and photos of |
|
people being led away in cuffs by police will certanly produce negative reactions from the general public.
Sure the Bushies will spin it. But, as Rove has said: "You're losing when you're explaining."
That's the diabolical genius of the SBVT: it puts Kerry supporters on the defensive.
The Kerry Campaign needs to be thinking of how to put the shoe on the other foot.

3. I think Kerry's been doing a pretty good job of that |
|
but I must admit, hes reaction to the Swift Boat ads was sluggish and unforceful. All Kerry has to do to put Bush on the defenisive is talk about the issues. Notice the polls were going towards Kerry before these stupid swift boat ads. When Dems get to talk about the issues, we win.

5. The SBVT controversy is sucking up all the oxygen from |
|
discussing issues.
Again, Rove is a mastermind at producing story-lines tailored for the media which leaves the opposition shadow boxing with third parties and his Bush "taking the high road."
That's why I specified a 527 organizing the provocateurs.
You have to understand that the media love neat storylines with "good guys vs. bad guys" conflict. It's best if it can be serialized in 2.5 minute video segments, too.
Kerry could drone for 12 hours about health care but a 527 organizing a video friendly event featuring grandparent-types who can't figure out Bush's Big Pharm subsidy bill could be far more effective.

4. Dont you know that they check people who go to bush events? |
|
Yes, they will have you open your jacket and pull up your shirt... If you do something like that, they will throw you out before you ever get in the door. I say, let them have their little religious hatefest and patriotic orgy, let them sign their loyalty oaths to der Fuhrer. I would never sign one of those things, not even to get in the door to protest. Going to a Bush Rally for me is like stepping into a pit of vipers. To be that close to pure, unadulterated Evil... well, I'm not sure I could take it.
