Has he fucked up before; NO, have you all stood behind him for the last 19 months; YES, has he done anything to jeopardize the campaign yet? NO.

STOP THE SHIT ABOUT THE HURRICANE. OBAMA HAS SPOKEN, AND IT WAS TELEVISED. Give him some credit. They know what they are doing.

Jeez....I can't believe this is the way people support him!!!

8. Thank you :)
I ask not to stir up trouble or be crtitical, I suppor his candidacy. I ask because this shit is huge. The FBI is kicking in doors with or with out warrants and seizing property. He needs to know about this stuff that's occuring and denounce/investigate.

This is the second time I've seen you in a thread with this reply. It might be time to start your own thread about it. You might get more of a response.

4. He's an awesome counterpuncher.
Please, the guy beat freakin' Hillary Clinton in a Dem primary. That's saying something. That's a tougher fight than McCain. I say he gets McCain by 5 points, which historically leads to a substantial electoral college victory. I just sit back and watch the guy do his thing. He's cool, unflappable and knows just when to strike.

5. Not second guessing him, just worrying.
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 02:34 PM by Franks Wild Years
Because the GOP love using tragic events to convince people to vote for them. Obama has run a mostly brilliant campaign, as far as I'm concerned. My only 'concern' now is how blindingly obvious it is that the media will fawn over McCain and tell the 'low-information' voters how saintly their actions are. That's all. I'm worried, because I've seen that shit before and there are a lot of idiots in whom it consistantly strikes a soft spot.

It anyone can do it, Obama can, but the media have assisted McCain every step of the way. This is the sort of photo-op behemoth all of them will have been praying for.

19. lol Internalize my concern?
This isn't about Obama. If the FBI can get away with what they are doing RIGHT NOW then this board and others will cease to exist. How ironic you should tell me to shut up over this topic. I served so we could all EXTERNALIZE our concern.

6. That guy has way better judgement than any politician I've ever heard.
He handles everything -- like the Rev. White stuff -- so much better than I imagined he could.

I trust him.

17. Just like the drama queens who were having a fit over Obama's stage design at the stadium.
People need to stop acting like armchair strategists and being reactive to every damn republican move.

If they're so worried, they can email or call the campaign with their concerns.

23. Agree- he know what he is doing
I agree, This guy beat the Clinton machine head on.. This election will come down to turn out and we all must do what we can to increase it.. So donate- volunteer what ever it takes. We must do more then post on this board and say things what happens if they still the election. Obama is up in Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada (electoral college.com) and this is because he has shown he knows what he is doing.

27. From an emergency management standpoint it's very important that Obama and Biden stay away from the
storm.

They're not "two people". They're two people and a motorcade complete with aides, the press corps, and secret service, whose presence diverts state police and other emergency responders from doing what they should be doing to directing traffic and clearing the roads for a motorcade. And they would take local officials away from emergency response and waste their precious time in photo ops.

I dearly hope that the media find enough sense in them to point out it was wrong for McCain/Palin to go down there for a photo op (that is, after all, they only thing they can do there-- even if they pose as relief workers, the reality of their entourage means that their "help" would be obstructing the actual relief workers).

Hurray Barack, for doing the right thing over the political thing. And fuck off, McCain and your new beauty queen dominionist trophy running mate, for endangering lives for your obscene photo ops.
