First off Obama is mobilizing his list of volunteers and donators together. He will be sending out emails for help and any donations to help with the rebuilding.

Secondly, a lot of people seem to be under the misconception that McCain/Palin are going to Louisiana, the hardest hit. No, that's not the case. Those two dear hearts are going to Mississippi, which is also being evacuated but will not be as hard hit as Louisiana, is said to be.

I still think there are a lot of people here who are republicans trying to cause problems by "questioning" what Obama does, or doesn't do, and who just want to cause trouble, like in the primaries when republicans came here and pretended to be Hillary supporters, or Obama supporters so they could stir things up.

8. This could all fizzle out

A little while ago, MSNBC reported that a storm measuring plane only found winds a little in excess of 100 mph so the storm hasn't picked up speed. Storms lose punch as they approach land. The predictions are now for a category three that will hit a little west of New Orleans. Cable news storm coverage follows a pattern. Nine out of ten times they give the worst case scenario. The storm may well weaken.

McCain and the RNC are already backing off all the big talk about telethons and trips to the hurricane zone.
